Melissa is one of those kinds of people that you come across in life, and she ends up changing you for the better. When we went on our first date, I had to lie to my mom, and tell her that I was going to play "Street Fighter IV" with a bunch of friends in Boston. I'm not sure if she believed it (chances are, she probably didn't), but that date was one of the happiest days I've ever had.

The song is meant to be in the tradition of Golden Era Boom Bap Hip-Hop, to musically match moments that I had with her that, much like Golden Era Hip-Hop, leaves me simultaneously happy & nostalgic.

This is from my upcoming instrumental album "CRUSHED", coming September 2012.
