Larissa (from "CRUSHED")

about

A song based on an elementary school crush. Her name was Larissa, tall, Puerto Rican, had a deep "Toni Braxton" type of voice. On Valentines Day, I gave her a card & a Teddy Bear, which eventually lead to her friends proclaiming to the class that I liked her, and basically embarrassing both her & I. We did become friends, though.

This song was made to embody the hazy memories of my encounters with her in class.

From my newest instrumental album "CRUSHED", coming late September/early October.

Lewis M. Boston, Massachusetts

Lewis M. is a boston-based (and Providence born) poet, beatmaker, and MC. He has performed at the Apollo Theater in NYC, The Smithsonian, among many other venues. His beats retain a refreshingly simplified approach to hip-hop production that harkens back to the boom-bap of the 90's while remaining fresh and new.
